Freddie Mercury Queen classic voted greatest driving song of all time in UK poll | Music | Entertainment

There’s nothing like belting out a rock anthem while driving on the motorway. And now British motorists have taken part in a new UK poll to name the best driving song of all time.

An incredible 39 per cent voted for Freddie Mercury’s 1979 Queen classic Don’t Stop Me Now.

The energised track beat the likes of Livin’ On A Prayer by Bon Jovi (33 per cent), Dancing Queen by ABBA (29 per cent), I’m Gonna Be (500 miles) by The Proclaimers (28 per cent) and Fleetwood Mac’s, Go Your Own Way (26 per cent).

The research by Direct Line Essentials Insurance discovered that over half of people had a dedicated playlist for road trips with an average of 51 songs.
